Juliana began her writing career as a journalist.
She worked as a newspaper editor for four newspapers in Tampa Bay – reporting on local communities, taking photos, designing pages and editing stories. Before that, she worked as a crime reporter for a weekly newspaper in the Orlando area.
Among many awards during her 10 years as a journalist, she is most proud of winning the Claudia Ross Memorial Award for Investigative Reporting from the Florida Press Association in 2015.
Shortly after, Juliana began training to become a pastor in The Salvation Army. She and her husband served as the corps officers for a bilingual congregation in West Palm Beach, Florida for three years.
In 2021, Juliana launched her copywriting business, combining her writing talents with new business acumen from her time operating a nonprofit organization.
Juliana has three bachelor’s degrees. She earned journalism and Spanish degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. She also has a degree in practical ministries through Trevecca Nazarene University.
Alexandra writes stories and perfects our words.
She honed her writing, editing and storytelling skills as an editor of a community newspaper — where she and Juliana met! — and as a reporter at a daily newspaper in Florida.
“Now living in South Carolina, she serves as our copyeditor and assistant writer, as she and Juliana support each other in their respective businesses.
In her down time, you’ll find her enjoying time with her two daughters, leading a Girl Scout Troop, playing complex board games, sewing handmade clothing, or curling up with a good book and one of their eight cats.
